Present State of the Application and Condition for Spreading the Use on Nondestructive Methods

Nondestructive methods, which are applied to road inspection and absolutely needed for strategic management, have been reviewed on their characteristics, main objects and current applicability. Their merit is to take the objective mass data quickly. The merits are dependent on the accuracy, the cost and the reliability. Among them there is a method currently being seldom used. That is a GPR survey to learn pavement thickness. The reason has been cleared and the condition for spreading the use has been pointed out on the method.
