Study of an Engine Electronic Controller's Core Circuit Based on SoC Technology

To meet the demands of Modularization and Open System Architecture (OSA) and the requirements of the function, cost, power consumption, computational capabilities, response rate, control accuracy and fault detection of Digital Engine Electronic Controller(DEEC), a design method based on SoC (System on Chip) was proposed. Two typical and conventional methods of DEEC were presented and their questions were raised. Then an idea of SoC was introduced; a design architecture of DDEC was raised. Several key technologies were presented and their solutions were given accordingly. The most supreme performance analysis of SoC method was elaborated, which focused mostly on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and On-Chip Bus. There were conclusions that SoC method was fit to DDEC and it would be a trend.
