摘要

A pantograph automatic lowering fault that occurred during dual-locomotive running was discussed, and signal interruption was found to be the direct reason. According to the theory of transmission lines, and combining with the freight environments, particularly, the connecting method of locomotives, this paper points out that the poor contact in the equipment of Wire Train Bus (WTB) was the root cause. Through the theoretical research and field investigation, the major factors that might cause a similar fault were researched, and the fault phenomenon was explained comprehensively. It also provides important reference value for improving WTB's reliability and reducing the possibility of pantograph automatic lowering.
