Measurement diagnosis action system has a procedure for detection of defects in the wheels of rail-mounted vehicles that detects defects while the vehicle is in motion, analyzes the defects and dependent on the analysis triggers appropriate action. Measurement sensors are used to measure e.g. temperatures of running bearings or vibration frequencies etc.
