Designing TDBEngine for Processing Temporal Educational Information

摘要

Temporal educational information processing is an important and challenging issue in database management systems. After the shortages of current temporal data management are analyzed in detail, this paper introduces an engine-like approach to implement the above information processing. According to this approach, a temporal database middleware as a stratum is constructed on the top of the existing nontemporal DBMS, named TDBEngine, and the related query language and architecture factors are taken into consideration, and then the feasible architecture is designed and implemented, whilst, syntactic and semantic issues are solved. Finally, the demonstration of an example shows that this approach meets the requirement of temporal educational information processing.
