摘要

This paper is on the basis of detailed analysis of the features of urban sustainable development in arid area. We consider that the sustainable development system can be comprehensive and integrated by four subsystems: Resource, Society, Economic and Eco-environment, which build a relatively complete indicator system of urban sustainable development in arid area. Then combine the methods of AHP and entropy to determine the weight of evaluation index. Take Dunhuang city as an example, It should establish the comprehensive assessment model to conduct integrated evaluation of sustainable development process. Studies have shown that the establishment of evaluation index system and the use of evaluation method can help us master the sustainable development process and timely discovery of disadvantages and take corresponding measures to ensure the sustainable development of cities in arid area.
