Technology Transfer of University Research

摘要

Well over 75% (some say 90%) of University's funded research never reaches the general industry which could benefit by it, and be willing to support the originating school. This study researched the problems of technology transfer and makes specific recommendations for both NSF and the grant recipients.rnThis grant is unique in that it was to develop an enabling method for National Science Foundation grant recipients to get their research results to industry for possible commercial applications. The project was initiated with the specific intention of aiding eight research grant recipient groups whose research was in the field of "Intelligent Material Handling Initiatives".
