Digital game-based learning is becoming a new trend forrnteaching and learning. While it has been developing inrnsome countries for years, it is still a relatively new topic inrnothers. The recent Hong Kong education system needs arntransformation in the teaching and learning mode andrndigital games can play an important role. With thernincreasing popularity of digital games and rapid growth ofrnneeds in using information technology in the classrooms,rnthis paper aims at looking into the local situation and thernpotential educational games market in Hong Kong with anrnexample of a locally developed educational game.
