摘要

Vector finite element method is adopted for 3D MT modelling in this paper.Unstructured grids are used in our algorithm,which can be refined locally according to the complex geometry of model.For sake of more accurate solutions,secondary fields are numerically computed,which make the errors to be limited to relatively small secondary fields.There are some native drawbacks for node-base finite element when coping with the vector electromagnetic fields.As a consequence,vector finite element method is employed to solve the secondary fields-based partial differential equation in this paper.The accuracies of our approach are verified by comparisons with previously published numerical simulations of a COMMEMI-3D model.The advantages of our approach are also illustrated by the numerical simulations of models with complicated anomalous body.
