摘要

Actinide contamination of groundwater may occur as consequence of effluents from nuclear plants, accidental releases, as well as leakages from nuclear waste repositories. The geochemistry of the actinides is intensely studied in field and laboratory experiments focusing on their speciation and transport pathways in aquifers. Challenges for the analysis of actinides in environmental media are: 1. the occurrence of actinides at concentrations below ppq level. 2. the rare availability of isotopic tracers for mass spectrometric measurements of ~(237)Np and ~(243)Am.
