TRANSNATIONAL MODEL FOR FLEXIBLE INDUSTRIAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING (MOFIT)

Transnationality is a mandatory requirement in all projects funded in whole or in part by the European Union through its various programmes such as ADAPT, Leonardo Da Vinci and socrates. The requirement is to demonstrate a European dimension. As a genera rule, this means that partnerships bidding for projects within EU programmes should involve at least two mutually independent legal entities established in two different Member States or in a Member State and an Associated State, or at least one legal entity established in a Member or Associated State and the Commission's Joint Research Centre. The partnership should include all necessary competence in order to perform the tasks required in the proposed project and have the resources and commitment to fulfil the project objectives. In practice, this means a wide spread of organisational models from large academic institutions to small, specialist businesses.
