A study in an attempt to use embedded pile structure elements to simulate soil nail structures in PLAXIS 2D 2012 and 3D 2012

摘要

This study attempts to use embedded pile structural elements to simulate soil nail structures in PLAXIS 2D 2012 and PLAXIS 3D 2012. This paper summarized the study results and makes comparison to a published paper entitled "Simulation of Soil Nail Structures using PLAXIS 2D" in Plaxis Bulletin no. 25 using geogrid and plate elements. The results from the embedded pile models in PLAXIS 2D 2012 and PLAXIS 3D 2012 are consistent to the published paper.
