Evaluation and training on accessibility guidelines

摘要

The arrival of the Information Society is accompanied by a whole set of new technologies that could present access barriers for people with special needs. To tackle these accessibility issues, several clusters of guidelines have been issued by different companies and international organizations. However, the uptake of these guidelines in mainstream products is very slow. This paper discusses several issues concerning the evaluation and training process on accessibility guidelines, and how to include users with special needs in the design-loop.
