摘要

Since an earthquake wave propagates, the ground motion input at multiple supports of structures varies. Thernsecurity of structure under multi-support excitation must be considered. In calculating the dynamic response, thernassumption of uniform ground motion at the supports of these long-span structures cannot be considered valid.rnThe multi-support ground motion can induce a response very different the response that is calculated when thernuniform-support ground motion is considered. In this paper, the time history analysis method is used to analyzernseismic response of structure subjected to uniform support excitation and multiple support excitations. Thernobjective of this study is to compare different analysis methods of large-span structures subjected to spatiallyrnvarying ground motions. The traveling wave effect is also be studied. Two different methods, accelerationrntime-history analysis method and displacement time-histories analysis method, are used. It is found that theserntwo methods both can be used in analysis of multi-support excitation, but the displacement time-history methodrnis much more convenience.
