Dynamic buckling of single steel pipe spatial arch trusses under triangle impulse loading is studied in this paper.rnA single 112m span spatial arch truss is numerically modeled with ANSYS/LS-DYNA, with geometric andrnmaterial nonlinearity taken into consideration. The influences of rise-to-span ratio, arch truss height, loadingrnrange, and loading duration are also studied. The results show that dynamic buckling process is accompanied byrnboth geometric and material nonlinearity. The higher the arch truss height and the bigger the rise-to-rise-to-spanrnratio, the larger the dynamic critical buckling loadings. Different buckling modes with different critical bucklingrnloadings occur under different loading ranges. The longer the loading durations, the less the critical bucklingrnloadings are.
