摘要

In this paper some results achieved in the image compression field by using neural networks are presented. A particular kind of neural network has been used that allows compressing both sets of images and single images; furthermore, the compression can be effected with both Black and White and coloured images. The quality of the reconstructed image and the compression ratio are functions both of the error defined in the learning stage and the number of used images.
