摘要

In this paper we first present the known disagreement between the law of a second grade fluid and the statement concerning the asymptotic stability of the rest state. After that we put into evidence that for a third grade fluid (which is not considered in the framework described by Coleman's and Noll Approximation Theorem (ATh)) the rest state is asymptotically stable, for any value of the constitutive modulus α_1.
