DIFFUSION MEDIATED TRANSPORT AND THE BROWNIAN MOTOR

We describe a dissipation principle/variational principle which may be useful in modeling motion in small viscous systems and provide brief illustrations to Brownian motor or molecular ratchet situations which are found in intracellular transport.
