MICROSTRUCTURAL CHANGES IN BEARING STEELS BY THE CRYOGENIC TREATMENTS

This paper presents the micro structural changes in the micro-structure of the RUL 1V bearing steel thermically treated after a series of variants during a RELANSIN project with the collaboration SC RULMENTI SA Bariad. The variants of thermal treatment at below freezing are known for their advantages concerning the obtained structural aspect which is a good structural uniformity of the structure, an advantageous schematisation of the structural constituents, an uniform distribution of the carbides etc.
