MILLENNIUM METHODS OF FABRICATING AND JOINING THERMOPLASTICS

There are several thermoplastic welding processes that are utilized in today's plastic fabricationindustry. This paper reviews the processes of hot gas hand welding, hot gas extrusion welding, buttwelding, and bending. These processes, when performed correctly, provide a fabricator the ability tojoin thermoplastic materials in a way that is structurally sound and leak free. Special focus will beplaced on equipment, preparation of tile material, and technical aspect of the processes.
