摘要

A method is presented to ensure the accuracy of machine tools based on the principle of closed kinematic chains. The difficulty to provide appropriate measurement instruments is circumvented by test-pieces that are manufactured and afterwards investigated using a coordinate measuring machine. A six-degree-of-freedom milling machine and a three-degree of freedom router (wood-manufacturing machine) are calibrated by this method to present the universal applicability of the method.
