摘要

This paper introduces a developed digital magnetic compass system based on the fluxgate technology. Firstly, to avoid stability problem caused by traditional RC analog drive circuit, digital square-wave signal from the MCU is applied to drive the fluxgate sensor. Then this system has adopted the median average filtering method to improve the accuracy and stability of the test data. The data of the magnetic field measurement value gets more accurate by this method. Finally, the system has compensated the constant external interference magnetic field to get the accurate direction. The design philosophy introduced in the paper has already been successfully applied to some type of digital magnetic compass.
