摘要

This paper presents the formulation of a reduced order observer for a class of non-linear systems based on generalized matrix inverse. The class of nonlinear system considers, the system dynamics being nonlinear with linear output relation. The state vector is decomposed into two orthogonal components, having the known component is along the system output and the orthogonal component being unknown. The estimation of the unknown component essentially leads to reconstruction of full state information. Illustrative numerical examples with simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
