DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR HTHP FLEXIBLE CONNECTIONS

Flexible connections employing a laminated elastomeric construction have been used in many successful offshore deepwater developments. However, assumptions used in their design must be revisited in order to adapt their design for service in higher temperature and higher pressure (HTHP) flowlines. This paper reviews the considerations that must be made when designing flexible connections for HTHP applications, based the on current research
