Research on Korean Won and Korean Foreign Exchange

摘要

This paper focuses on the performance of Korean won in the global market. Initially, a general introduction of the currency's foreign exchange is given. In addition, a unique instrument, the non-deliverable forward (NDF) is thoroughly analyzed in various aspects, as well as a brief real value assessment and a presentation of the governmental policies. Based on the previous introduction and current data, a further discussion of the possible factors that could influence the fluctuation of won's exchange rate is made, with a highlight of the current Corona crisis. Lastly, suggestions considering future investments are also given after the evaluation.
