Recuperation Integration with Small Turbine Engine

摘要

Small engines have become popular for their variety of uses, their only major downfall being their low overall efficiency. This work explores the options of recuperation to increase cycle efficiency. Primary and secondary heat exchangers are examined, and the primary surface is proven to be the best option based on its high effectiveness and simple design. Modifying an engine for future investigations is also discussed as future work to be done.
