摘要

The aim of this study is to establish a measurement method of oxygen partial pressure in fuel electrodes of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) to clarify a mass transfer mechanism in SOFCs. A sensor, which was made of a platinum wire coated with zirconia, was inserted into the fuel electrode to measure the oxygen partial pressure. The measured oxygen partial pressure increased with increasing the current density and with decreasing the flow rate of hydrogen at the same current density. Also, the oxygen partial pressure decreased with decreasing the operating temperature. These trends were in agreement with those of simulation results.
