摘要

The first step in modeling the multiconductor transmission line (MTL) is to calculate the per-unit-length inductance, capacitance, and resistance parameters, capacitance is an essential parameter in MTL equation, because inductance is deduced from capacitance. In this paper, an efficient and fast direct computation algorithm is introduced to calculate the capacitance per-unit-length of MTL. The advantage of this new algorithm over the previous known ones is that the generalized capacitance always needed to obtain the capacitance per-unit-length is completely avoided, and can be used in the transmission line structure whatever the structure of the cables with arbitrary separate distance. Results obtained by the proposed algorithm match some of the known algorithms and with experimental data.
