The article provides a comparative analysis of CDIO and the Federal State Educational Standard in the field of training “Mechatronics and Robotics”. The planned learning outcomes are formulated on the basis of combining the requirements of the two standards and the directions of modernization and development of the educational program are indicated by incorporating the universal components of CDIO into the program: interdisciplinary design work; development of personal qualities; communication skills; professional knowledge of information technology.
