Houston Water Planning (HWP) team within Houston Public Works is responsible for long-range strategic planning, 1-10 year CIP planning and operational planning. The hydraulic models provide the opportunity to address the day-to-day operational issues as well as serves as the foundation for developing different ranges of dynamic master plans. In 2002, the City adopted the New PR Method for Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) modeling in Info Works models for wastewater collection system. As part of the City's continuous model improvement effort, a review of the wet weather calibration methodology was perfonned recently. During most recent model update cycle, the City identified two additional wet weather modeling methods available in InfoWorks Software to evaluate and compare with the existing method. These are: (1) RTK and (2) New PR + Groundwater Infiltration Model (GIM). This paper discusses the approach and methodology and presents the result of the study.
