摘要

In this study we empirically investigate the interplay of national culture and three inter-organizational drivers of competitive advantage-supply chain integration, trading partner trust, and Web-based electronic commerce usage. Specifically, we investigate whether the individualism/ collectivism aspect of national culture affects the relationships among these constructs. To test our hypotheses, data was collected and analyzed from 180 companies residing in a highly individualist nation (United States) and 47 companies residing in a highly collectivist nation (Indonesia). Overall, the results indicate that individualism/collectivism is an important macro-level factor influencing the impact of these inter-organizational capabilities on competitive advantage.
