摘要

This study describes an amorphous polymer network that combines three functionalities: biodegradability, controlled drug release, and a shape-memory effect. While common matrix polymers possess only the property of controlled drug release and biodegradability, a third functionality, I.e., the ability to actively move from a programmed, temporary shape to a permanent shape has been introduced by synthesizing an advanced polymer architecture. This material, a copolyester urethane network was suitable for drug loading and controlled release of different drugs. Moreover, the thermomechanical properties of the material were not altered by drug incorporation.
