Polymers Containing Tetraphenylporphyrins and Their Porperties

Polymers containing tctraphcnylporphyrin moieties in their side chains were prepared by radical polymerizations of 5-(4-acrylamidcphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin (AATPP), 5-(4-mcthacrylamidephcnyl)-10,15,20-tnphenylporphyrin(MAATPP), 5-(4-vinylphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin(VTPP), and by polymerizations of 5-(4-ethynylphcnyl)-10,15,20-triphenyl porphyrin (ETPP) with rhodium catalyst. Polymerizabilities of these monomers were studied. Physicochemical behavior of their paramagnetic metal complexes was also investigated.
