Over last decade much attention has been paid to the synthesis of biopolymers and biomimic polymers. The biomimic polymers are especially interesting, since they can serve as model compounds for the natural ones to elucidate their functions in biological systems. One of the interesting biomimic polymers is a polynucleotide analogue (PNA).
