PureSelect2 - A Novel Phage Display Platform for In Vitro Selection of Therapeutic Antibody Fragments

The ability of immunoglobulins to recognize a wide array of antigens places them in a central position in drug development and diagnostics. By recognizing predefined biomarkers they can be targeted to a specific disease area, which minimizes therapy side effects. Antibodies are also used in diagnostic assays as analyte recognizing molecules. We propose our improved PureSelect2 platform based on phage display technology for in vitro discovery of antibody fragments, which include improved bacterial strains, vectors and protocols for better overall quality. Selected antibody fragments can be efficiently reformatted to desired IgG-based scaffolds, and further tested for therapeutic and/or diagnostic potential.
