摘要

Stimulated Four Wave Mixing (1535 nm < X_p < 1565 nm) has been recorded in a silicon photonic wire waveguide with a cross-section of 500 nm x 220 nm and with a record small waveguide length of 2 mm. The idler to signal conversion efficiency of about -32 dB has been measured for an approximate launched pump power of 60 mW. The conversion efficiency has been shown to be improved further in a microring resonator of 10 μm radius (Q~ 9000).
