In search of continuous improvement on the collective flotation stage, the Processes Vice Presidencycarried out the installation of two JAMESON pneumatic cells which treat columns? tailings, toimprove the indices of the collective Mo business.In order to know the real impact of those collective flotation process' cells and how it has influencedthe Cleaning/Scavenger stages, according to the plant's feeding grade. JAMESON circuit's partialsamples were analysed. The main comments are detailed below:Rec. Cu values fluctuated between 38 and 80.0% approx., with an average value of 62%. In the caseof Rec. Mo, the obtained values vary between 40 and 78% approx., with an average value of 55%, thatcontribute to obtaining on August a Rec. Mo of 69% and an accumulated annual value of 63%,reaching the committed values for the materialization of this project (+6 percentage points comparedto 57%).There are wide ranges in the process variables' operation, which is due to the fact that the cells donot receive a similar pulp flow, influencing different operating pulp levels. In the same way, theobstruction of downcomers (especially in cell 1), forces the system to work on values those are outsidethe recommended range in the operations manual delivered by GLENCORE.The obtained results in JAMESON circuit's samplings show a high variability in the results obtainedfrom Rec. Cu and Mo and the elements grades present in concentration cells. This may be due to thefact that the plant does not have on-line analysers that allow different flows' grades, increasing errorsin the taking and collecting samples stages in manual sampling.
