Biomaterials are finding increasing use in the bio-medical industry due to the need to find adequate and medically biocompatible materials that can substitute natural functions normally performed by parts of the human body. Apart from the need for biocompatibility, the properties of biomaterials must also satisfy the thermal, mechanical and rheological requirements of their end-use application. This study involves the experimental characterization of the thermal, mechanical and rheological properties of various biomaterials and how these properties are related to processing and end use application.
