Development of the elevator operation equipment for robotic travel aid

摘要

The robotic travel aid (RoTA) for a visual impaired person used in the hospital has been developed in our laboratory. In a hospital, the RoTA is required to move different floors by an elevator. The apparatus for press buttons equipped in a cage to travel another floor is showed in this paper. When the RoTA goes in the elevator cage, the scalar type arm moves to the position of the button automatically, then presses the target button to move the other floor.
