In this paper, we solve the following quartic functional equation f(x+y/2-z)+f(y+z/2-x)+f(z+x/2-y)=9/16(f(x-y)+f(y-z)+f(z-x))originating from the sum of the medians of a triangle, and prove the Ulam-Hyers stability of the quartic functional equation in fuzzy normed space by the direct and fixed point methods. An application of this functional equation is also provided.
