The Creation of Microclimate in Gardens

Gardens should be the combination of the taste for nature and ecological effect. Microclimate is an important content and embodiment of the ecological effect. Taking two typical Chinese traditional gardens -Mountain Resort in Chengde and the Summer Palace as examples, the methods of creating microclimate in Chinese traditional garden were analyzed in the article. The creation of gardem microclimate should be a content of garden-making. From the stage of planning and design, several methods including site selection, landform processing, overall layout, space partition, plant arrangement, processing of the earth's surface, could be used to make a pleasant microclimate environment in modern landscape.
