Research on the Compound Plating Worm Grinding Wheel

摘要

In order to grind well the big modulus and size hard gear, the compound-plating worm grinding wheel replaces the conventional honing in this paper. The research includes that, (1) select plating technics, (2) design the plating device, (3) play the worm grinding wheel, (4) the abrasion of the worm-grinding wheel, (5) grinding hard gear with the worm-grinding wheel. The research achievements show that the quality of the hard gear face grinded with the compound plating worm wheel becomes better, and the life of the hard gear grinded with the worm-grinding wheel becomes longer than with the conventional honing. The cost of manufacture the big modulus and size hard gear reduce because using gear-hobbing machine instead of gear-grinding machine.
