Dynamic Response of Antifriction Bearings via Minimum Shannon Entropy

摘要

A study of vibration signals of antifriction bearings using continuous wavelet transform and analysis of frequency bands through discrimination of wavelet detail was done. Optimum shape forms were obtained by using minimum Shannon Entropy for the chosen mother wavelet function providing good time-frequency localization. Prevention of failure on bearing components at an incipient stage is possible by subjecting the vibration signals from the bearing to a Single Value Decomposition method to help in the identification of a possible deterioration.
