The relationship of cytochrome P450 monooxygenase (P450), CYP6B_2 gene and resistance of Helicoverpa armigera to pyrethroid fenvalerate was studied. Conte to P450 and activty of p-nitroanisole (pNA) O-demethylase in resistant (R) strain are 17.71 and 2.21 times respectively higher as compared with those in susceptible (S) strain. Aldrin epoxidease activity showed 1.35-fold strain difference.
