摘要

A large-scale wastewater treatment basin with distributed water-feeding, sludge recycling and removal is considered. The treatment process control is formulated as the state optimisation problem in time and along the basin using step flows for sludge and water feedings. The problem is formulated in general for the sludge-load, sludge-loading and concentration control and for the treated water quality control. It is supposed that the state of growth and oxidation processes can be estimated online using the dissolved oxygen and gas analyses results measured from several points over the aeration basin.
