During the coalition of the social-democrates and the green party in the government of the FRG (1998-2005) the implementation of regeneratives was forced by law with upto 10 times higher garanteed benefit than the fuel costs of an expensive gas plant. This guaranty is given for 20 years. Nowadays it is three years ago since the federal government of Germany made the decision to the “Energiewende" after the nuclear reactor disaster at Fukushima in Japan. With high rates of remuneration, the before already started expansion of the regeneratives, mainly wind power has been extremely accelerated. The photovoltaic experienced an explosive growth.
