In order to further explore the aging mechanism and physical nature of solid propellants under the combined action of moisture and heat. This paper uses HTPB and NEPE as the research objects to carry out propellant storage aging tests under damp and heat conditions to monitor the changes in the mechanical properties, Shore hardness, moisture absorption rate, and impact sensitivity of the propellants in real time during the test, and further explore the two aspects in terms of the influence mechanism of the factors, the similarities and differences of the performance of the two propellants are compared and analyzed. The study found that during the damp heat aging process, the mechanical properties of the propellant declined severely, the maximum tensile strength, fracture strength, etc. dropped sharply, and the Shore hardness and the quality of the propellant changed to varying degrees. The impact sensitivity of NEPE is much lower than that of HTPB, and because NEPE contains a large amount of high-energy solid additives, the sensitivity values of the two are inconsistent during.
