Suitability of the solid desiccant cooling to supplement the conventional vapor compression refrigeration air conditioner has been studied for typical hot and humid climate. A solid desiccant and vapor compression hybrid air-conditioning system for a test room of cooling capacity 1.8 kW, has been modelled in simulation studio project and simulated in TRNSYS environment for the cooling season from March to September.
