Polyaniline (PANI)/Cu_xCo_(0.5-x)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 (x=0, 0.1, 0.3)nanocomposites with high electromagnetic shielding effectiveness were synthesized via in situ polymerization method. PANI/Cu_xCo_(0.5-x)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 (x=0, 0.1, 0.3)nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Field emission scanning electron microscopy and vibrating sample magnetometer techniques. Further, AC conductivity and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) studies have been carried out as a function of frequency at room temperature for PANI/CuxCo_(0.5-x)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 (x=0, 0.1, 0.3)nanocomposites. The AC conductivity was found to increase with applied frequency. Conduction mechanism in PANI/Cu_xCo_(0.5-x)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 (x=0, 0.1, 0.3)nanocomposites is in accordance with the electron hopping model. Further, SE was found to decrease with increase in the applied frequency in all the synthesized samples. The highest level of SE values achieved in this work for PANI/Cu_xCo_(0.5-x)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 (x=0, 0.1, 0.3)nanocomposites are 59.11dB, 56.61dB and 45.26dB respectively at 50Hz.
