The Data Analysis of Evidentiality from the Perspective of Interpersonal Function in English News Corpus

Evidentiality is actually a kind of representation of the speaker’s epistemological coding of the source and reliability of information or knowledge. The analysis shows that: 1. Journalists always unconsciously filters their own attitude and evaluation, which will affect reader unconsciously. 2. It reveals that evidentiality has played a vital influence on the realization of interpersonal meaning in news corpus.
